I think it's fair to write a new intro for my blog, since a lot has changed since I wrote the last one (which is now deleted by the way).
My name is Melanie, I am from the Netherlands and I'm 22 years old. I love writing reviews and I'm hoping that someday I can make my job out of it.
With this blog I try to fill up my time, and I hope to get a bit busy for my future through this. I am using this blog for various things, like posting drawings or photos I made, about the movies or books I bought or for my random rambling. But the main reason of this blog is to write about the movies, tv shows or books I've seen or read. This will probably be a lot of horror (hence the name), since I'm a big horror fanatic! I'm in no way a professional reviewer, but someday I'm hoping I'll be.
My favorite bands are Mumford & Sons, Pearl Jam, Blink 182 and Kings of Leon at the moment, this often changes though.
My favorite movies are also very variating, but I'll name some (I also like other movies other than horror of course): The Orphanage, The Green Mile, Fight Club, Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Cabin in the Woods, Trainspotting, Alpha Dog, Shrek, Ice Age, Finding Nemo, Requiem For A Dream, Edward Scissorhands, Toy Story, The Lion King, Into The Wild, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Perfume, The Blair Witch Project and I know I forgot tons of other amazing movies.
I like reading a lot, my favorite writer is of course Stephen King. At the moment I'm also enjoying the books of George R.R. Martin, A Song of Ice and Fire, a lot. I often read books that were made into a movie, often because the books offers a lot more information or gives a whole other view to the movie overall. I like comparing the two, although this opinion is not widely appreciated.
The last thing I want to say is, you're free to ask anything, give your opinions or whatever you want on my blog, it can only help me for my future. You're also free to e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org for questions, screeners or other stuff.
Thanks a lot in advance, and goodbye!
